Why doesn't Texas have the courage it did during the Texas Revolution?

Since the people there now are mostly a bunch of pansy cowards who don't care waht the government does, and any mention of being an indepedennt country would be dismissed as extreme and not taken seriously.

The US government is oppressive just like the Mexican one was.

  • Because the nation of Texas was an economic failure. If they wanted to split from the US again, they'd not only have to deal with the most powerful nation on the face of the Earth and if they somehow win, their economy would be crap.
