What Guys Said 5

  • The correct sentence would be along the lines of:

"The female lays several yellowish eggs and larvae take several months before becoming adults."

Larvae is already the plural form of larva so the 's' isn't needed.

If the word you're referring to is not in place of "----" then the correct sentence is:

"The female lays several yellowish eggs and larvae ---- several months before becoming adults." <- However, this sentence doesn't make much sense in English .

    • The original sentence is off I think. Have a look at this

The female lays several yellowish eggs and larvaes which take several months to become adult.

  • None, larvae's 'take' several months before becoming adult. :)

  • Becoming, and it's larvae, not larvaes. Larvae is plural of larva.

What Girls Said 2

  • E-becoming. It is asking which tense and conjugation of the verb to use. Because the statement said "severL months before" it already implies the tense and therefore you do not need to apply an adverb.
