Isn't it mind-blowing how we have no idea where we actually are?

  • Well, our solar system has a diameter of 1 light-year and our own galaxy one of 100 000 light-years.
Currently, the closest galaxy to the milky way, andromeda, are about 2.5 million light-years appart ; and they won't meet for another FOUR BILLION YEARS.

--> Don't forget there are AT LEAST A HUNDRED BILLION galaxies in the known universe.
So yeah, it's litteraly mind blowing.

(checked all the numbers on google)

  • I keep wondering where the other races are... how much more they evolved compared to us, or how much we evolved ahead of them

    • Think about it.

    • the fact that we can't specify where we are in the universe? yes pretty interesting. also if the universe is infinite we will never know where we are. if it isn't, well, it'll take many many years to find out..

  • no it isn't, we're working on finding out thats all we can do for now
