English teacher or Translator in English? Which one should I do as an occupation? What are the pros and cons of both jobs?

I haven't decided which one to study in college and i have to make my decision in less than a month. I feel excited for both courses but i still haven't made up my mind yet. Any ideas would be helpful.

  • I think being a translator, just as an interpreter, could be a lonely occupation. I think being an English teacher would be a very sociable occupation, and would be more rewarding.

  • to be a translator you have to be fluent in both languages and tbh translator careers are one of those careers vulnerable to the future, there is technology out there that could replace those jobs within out life time whereas we will always need great teachers
