I've lived in southern ohio all my life, and recently I was told by someone living in northern ohio it was "cute."
They can't be that different can they? We live in the same state.

Northeastern Ohio (Cleveland in particular) is consistent with New England accents, especially western New Yorker and Pennsylvanian. Central and Western Ohio (Minus the Cincinnati area) is consistent with south-Midwest accents, and Southern Ohio is consistent with Southern accents.
Southern Ohio sounds like Kentucky. (Cinci area). Northern Ohio has no accent.
I grew up in southern ohio. I've never really heard a northern ohio accent. I don't think I have an accent I just think I talk normally (there's nothing special to it like there is a sourthern or New York accent)
