What does layover mean?

I bought a greyhound bus ticket from Oshawa to London Ontario. It says there is a 1:45 min layover. I have to transfer in Toronto. Does that mean I have to wait that long for the next bus to London?

Updates:
Does it mean when I get off in Toronto that I need to wait for the next bus?

  • Yeah, but it's not that bad, some layovers are up to 4 or 6 hours by plane though
