  • The mass of the sun is 1.989E30 kg
the mass of the earth is 5.972E24 kg
(calculating the exact results of these numbers you will find that the sun is significantly bigger than earth of course)
furthermore you shouldn't compare planets (earth) to stars (sun) - the biggest planet is jupiter and even jupiter isn't as big as the sun just by the way :)

  • It's all about perspective. There's no real answer to the question since it's not elaborated enough.

  • The ratio of the Sun's radius to the Earth's radius is 1,392,000/12756 = 109.1
This means the ratio of their volumes is 109.1 x 109.1 x 109.1, which is about 1,300,000, and that means that 1,300,000 Earths should fit inside the Sun. Even if the Earth were melted to fill up the spherical shape of the Sun, the volume would be equal to the same number of Earths.

Now you calculate the answer :)

& seldom is any question stupid, this one is not :)

  • The sun is much more massive. That's why the Earth and the other planets orbit around the sun and not vice versa.

  • Cmon this is common sense bro.. Look down at the earth.. It's massive right? Now look up at the sun which is just a tiny orb in the sky right? Obviously the earth is larger. Scientists don't know nothin'
