Have you your parents or siblings ever once owned a VCR?

Should be interesting, VCRs seem like such a thing of the past now. Wonder just how many people here even owned one?

  • Heck, in a way i still have one. It's built into my big tv, along with a built-in dvd player. So i get the best of both worlds. My fam and i used to own VCRs like nobody's business when i was growing up Lol. When i was a midage teen, we used to watch dvds on our old computer... then i think we owned our first dvd player when i was 14-15 years old.

  • My family owned one, and the first movie I ever watched on VHS (that I can recall) was My Neighbor Totoro.

  • I still actually have one but its a 2-in-1. I think the only reason we still have it is because it's also a DVD player. I only got it like 2 years ago so it's new in that sense and I still see them being sold

  • I still have 2. One VCR/DVD combo and an old VCR in a box. It's depressing how many really good films you simply can't get on DVD (which are going to go out of fashion at some point soon anyway).

  • I still have one, it is part DVD player part VCR.
I also have some VHS tapes.
The Indiana Jones Trilogy (the 4th one was horrible and I'm glad I don't have it on VHS), Shrek (don't remember which one) and something else.
