Most Helpful Girl
I think I'm pretty good. Usually people love my food, and I have the odd mooch that will invite themselves over to eat something I've made, or have friends or family come over magically right around dinner time so they know that's when I'll be feeding them.
I only started cooking in my late 20s or so, I was getting really tired of ordering out. It was expensive and I didn't feel like I was really doing anything with myself. I wanted to know more about different ingredients and how things worked together to taste great. Eventually I perfected a few dishes that I didn't require looking up how much of this or that to add anymore (no recipe to follow), but always cooked the same things all the time.
I eventually wanted to learn more so started watching cooking programs and reading cookbooks to learn more. I started incorporating different ingredients slowly until finally I had a cupboard full of exotic spices and sauces ready to use in my dishes.
Of all the things I make though, my husband says his favourite is my salmon burger. It's about the easiest thing to make and so delicious! :P0
