Is this painful/does it actually work?

I read about this snoring headband online, it holds your jaw up therefore keeping the mouth closed. Because the mouth stays closed it doesn't allow the risk of tounge and throat tissue to fall back and block the air ways. I wanted to know two things:
1. Does it actually work?
2. Is it painful because it looks like it?

  • It is probably like a lot of things uncomfortable till you get used to it.

  • I don't think it would, snoring isn't caused by the mouth being open, it is caused by the throat muscles relaxing and restricting air flow so i don't see how closing the mouth would stop that, if anything it would just muffle the snoring.
