  • I like many genres, but my top 3 are:

    1. Fantasy (Lord of the Rings trilogy, Sara Douglass novels, Kate Elliot novels, Melanie Rawn novels, N. K. Jemisin novels, etc.)

    2. Horror (Anne Rice novels, Bram Stoker, Stephen King novels, Peter Straub, Edgar Allen Poe, etc.)

    3. Classics - Gothic fiction (Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Pride & Prejudice, Emma, etc)

Runner up is historical fiction and then biographies. I love reading about royalty (especially during the Medieval times), Renaissance artists, writers, etc.

    • Thank you for the references. ;)
Do you have some erotic ones? or dont read those?

    • No problem! :)
I don't usually read erotica. Sometimes there are erotic scenes in my fantasy novels, though.

  • I read more non-fiction than anything else. Next most common is light reading, detective fiction, science fiction, humor. I'll occasionally read historical fiction now but read much more historical/adventure stuff when I was younger, also fantasy then but not so much now.

What Girls Said 6

  • Fantasy, Mystery, Sci Fi.

But I also love books that are funny. My favourite all time is the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Followed closely by several fantasy epics.

  • 1. Classics - I love reading them.
    2. Horror/psychological - things that mess with your mind
    3. Romance/Drama
    4. Nonfiction!

I honestly love all books. It's hard to choose one genre.

    • Can you recommend sme authors or books that are good mssing with your mind?

    • I read a lot of Stephen King books and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series is really good. Gone Girl is good too. A lot of the books I like have been turned into movies. Gillian Flynn is definitely an author to look up.
