How do cemeteries have space for graves of people who died so much time ago, like 200 years ago, and the same time of people who died recently?

I know this is a creepy question, but I always wondered how we can find graves of people who died so many years ago and the same time, for example of people who died this year?
Considering the fact that lots of people die every year.

How this is possible?

  • Because some families buyed that piece of dirt, people cannot modify that place.
But it's not allowed now to own space on a cemitery.

  • Here you pay for a grave for 10 or 20 years and after that it will be removed, do you have a personal grave for 20 years then you can pay again for 20 years, again and again
