  • There are different kinds of stoves but most household ones operate on similar enough principles. Gas ones tend to put a bit more moisture in the air than electric which is better for some kinds of cooking. Features like convection (circulating the air) are not found on all stoves. French bread needs a special kind of stove to come out right. Wood burning stoves impart a hint of flavor from the wood & etc.
