Are Taiwanese Chinese and Chinese Chinese ( language) exactly the same?

Are Taiwanese Chinese and Chinese Chinese ( language) exactly the same?

i know they speak Madarin in Taiwan but are there any difference?

  • Sorta but the "Mandarin" they also have a lot of Hokkien and Hakka elements in their language so if someone who speaks "Mandarin" as in the "Beijing official" language. If they walk out of Beijing , they're gonna find themselves lost if all these dialects flying all over the place.

  • Yeah, Mandarin (or standard Chinese) is the same in both countries, and is the official language too. However, most people speak Taiwanese Hokkien which is 臺語 (tai yu) in Taiwan tho. And in China, various dialects are flying all over the country - Hokkien, Hakka, Cantonese, Hainan etc..
