Am I missing something? I know a lot of people who are suppose to be reasonably intelligent (meaning they went to a decent highschool and got a good education) who fell for such schemes. Most of them were 18 - 23 years old and it was about 5-8 yeaers ago... if that plays a factor.
How are people stupid enough to fall for pyramid schemes?

I've heard a lot of people go in to them on emotional reasons. A friends mom was convinced that she needed to take care of her children and the program offered a life insurance policy (Idek why?), so she went with it because she was worried for her children.
Some people are promised money, and that it's super easy to get in to and make money of of it. Not true but convincing people of that isn't too hard.0
