Whats your method for cooking a boiled egg?

So who doesn't love a freshly laid hen's egg straight from the farm boiled up for a lazy breakfast or a mid afternoon snack? Nobody right ;)

However, we all seem to have our own little way of perfecting that yolky goodness to perfection.

My personal method is to start 2 eggs in cold water, bring them to the boil and then cook for 1 minute and 55 seconds.
Then dispose of the hot water and submerge the eggs in cold water preserving the eggs at that perfectly cooked moment.
Serve with buttered toast and some salt and pepper. Perfectly cooked eggs of solid white and runny yolk every time ;)

So how do you boil your eggs?

    • Interesting. I used to have my own chickens too and the eggs cooked the same as normal

    • Maybe it depends on the breed of chicken xD
