This question cam to mind this morning as I lay in the O R at the local hospital. I thought this would be an easy non painful procedure. A simply incision & take a biopsy. It still feels like someone is trying to rip my ear off the side of my head. Besides some broken bones this ranks right up there in the pain department. I have had similar or worse procedures done before so why was this so painful?

Most painful has to be a tie for twice.
1st. Motorbike crash. Hit by car. Tore my foot almost right off 6" from ankle. Lay there after rolling back off the broken windshield , over hood and pushed myself on the ground to notice 2 bones sticking out and toes in my right leg touching the right knew. Ouch.
Second painful. Hit a parked car on my shidoo at 70-80 mph. Smashed my pelvis ( worst brake for pain ) 4 broken ribs. Tail bone ( sacrum ) broke and compression fracture in #5 vertebrae in back. Ouch.
So that has to be a tie.
Picking s guy up off ground in a snow bank with shattered pelvis to put on flat board to go in ambulace is deathly excruciating pain. Then back and fourth from board to table for extasy. Flipped on side for Dr to exam with body more or less smashed in half is the worst pain ever. 6 times I got moved from board to board then bed for 7 weeks in my back healing. Morph drip doesn't help for that type of pain trust me.
And I've had some painfull tooth aches most would just want to die over.
Relax , you haven't felt pain yet1
