I'm going to be a shift supervisor for the first time and need some tips. At the moment in thinking the important things are for every team member to feel valued, respected and part of the team. As I'll be getting a new team, none of them will know each other so I plan on starting with a simple, quick icebreaker, no silly games just getting people to talk to each other. Then making sure everyone knows what they're doing and are happy. After that I guess it's just ensuring everyone gets breaks, stay happy and lead by example. Anything I've missed?
What should I do to be a good shift supervisor?
