  • It's called government. Government doesn't earn anything. It doesn't produce anything. At best it facilitates the productions of people, at worst it hampers them. It takes the productions of people and assigns them to other people for services over which it has a monopoly and at prices it sets without oversight or effective control. Imagine if your local supermarket had no competition and could charge you whatever it liked. That's government.
