  • well a book only using one tense throughout would be kind of boring xD i want to feel like i´m part of the story. past tense breaks the immersion and kind of gives you the feeling that the story is allready over and you only read it again as opposed to the feeling of present tense, that makes you feel like the story unfolds as you read. though i think both are important.

  • Present tense for me. It helps me feel more as to whats going on.

  • Depends on what I'm reading.

Action should ALWAYS be in the present, because, hel-LO! Lol.

More contemplative stuff can make more sense in the past.

You can also play with tenses, too. Once you understand the rules, you can start breaking them, and then you can start doing some REALLY interesting things.

  • Past tense. I have no idea why, but present tense books annoy me

  • Present tense, less confusing.
And, it's as if I am following the journey.
