Do you think American is going against the 8 amendment by locking people up for child support, and unpaid fines?

If you so do you think we the people should do something about it?

It doesn't violate the 8th Amendment, but a man wouldn't be put in jail for failure to pay child support unless he was capable of paying it. Most likely, even if he was capable of paying it but didn't, he wouldn't be in jail anyway, but there would be court-ordered liens against his property compelling him to make the payments.

For unpaid fines, again, it's similar, but, if there is no property to put a lien against, then, sure. A single fine is a non-issue, but repetitive non-payment of fines is a criminal act, so prison is appropriate.
