It all depends on where I am in the world. I very good at mimicking accents. All you need is key phrases (Sayings common to the locals) to get you started. Certain words will still give you away but with enough care you can avoid it.
For example and in English, the word "About" is unique to all regions. As are Drink terms like "Water," "Soda-Pop" and "Beer." But the two accents I like to mimic the most are Russian and Australian.0
English is not my native language but I've lived in Pennsylvania for some time and that is pretty much what I sound like in English. I don't have any foreign accent anymore (or at least it's very slight)... so far, all Americans I met abroad (in Asia and other places) thought I was from America and many even guessed the region correctly.
In my native tongue, I also just sound pretty much like the city/region of my country I am from (which, incidentally, also happens to be the north-east).0
Boston. The BEST kind😁👍1
