Can this cat be a male?

I heard someone saying that when the cat has these colours it always a female and it can't be a male, Is that information correct?

  • No it's not probably. They say male cats are usually reddish. But that ain't Always true. What's the physical difference is that male cats are often chubbier, like around their cheeks. While female cats are more slender build. Note to you, most housecats I see are female.

  • That's most likely not a male. It's true that calico cats are almost always female. I can confirm from personal experiences. I've had LOTS of cats in my lifetime and the calicoes have ALWAYS been females. Male calicoes are EXTREMELY rare.

  • I think they can if they're tortoiseshell and white like that but if they're full tortoiseshell then they're always female. Probably a myth though like the one about all ginger cats being male, or all white cats being deaf
