Would it be disrespectful to go to a United States Soilder Funeral with a Canadian Flag and Vice Versa?

Like Canada and United States are allies till the end so would it really be disrespectful to bring a flag to a United States Military Solider Funeral or To bring a United States Flag to a Canadian Soilder Funeral.

  • That depends entirely on the nature of the funeral and who the soldier was as a person. If it's a military funeral with their commander and other soldiers performing a ceremony, it's probably better to not. If it's just a family and friends funeral with very little to no military presence, and the soldier was very close to Canada in some way, then I think it the family allows it then it's perfectly fine.

  • The fact that you even have to ask is proof that it's rude...

  • Yes it would be.
Either bring the flag of the person's country or don't bring anything at all.

  • What would the point of doing that be? I mean if it's someone's funeral best to not do anything that may offend people.

Lots of better venues to offend someone than a funeral
