"Schools should consider flexible working to tackle a teacher supply crisis."

What does "a teacher supply crisis" mean? I know what teacher, supply and crisis mean but i can not understand the meaning of this.

  • Apparently they have problems finding people that want to teach so maybe they are trying to get kids involved in trades/work off campus to compensate for that... Policy wise though they say they have problems finding teachers, but they always cut number of teachers before they cut anything else in the education budget and it's always based on seniority, not on actual need for particular types of teachers. The politics of the school system is fucked.
