Seasons and time-keeping (months, years) don't need to be synchronized.
The winter solstice is defined by the solar system not the calendar. Its date varies each year. This year it will be December 21st.
yikessssssssss... how do you figure that the new year begins on January 31?
new year is on January 1
I don't know. I know nothing about space and the stars and the winter solstice. I think it's good where it's at though.
Naw, makes more sense for it to be on the 1st of jan.
That makes more sense but I prefer lunar calendars anyway.
