Any techniques for calming anxiety?

like when I'm walking in the lunch room or when I'm sitting alone, I get so much anxiety. Any tips?

  • Breathe into a paper bag. Think about calming pleasant things. Think about all the things you could worry about and realize that trying to worry is futile

  • Look around you. Find 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and one thing you can taste.
    This is called grounding.

  • Take a deep breath through your nose. Then exhale very very slowly through your mouth. Always works for me. Good luck sweetheart, I know how troubling this can be.
