  • For a business position with a degree in economics you want conservative. Skirt knee-ish length. Neckline all the way up.

Look at what they are wearing at the bank. Or go to some business parks and watch people come in and out of different businesses. You want to be toward the more conservative. If this is a job fair on campus you can get by a bit more casual.

  • it's just crossing the line. it should be longer. you don't want to convey anything intentionally or unintentionally.

  • No, honestly that looks more like something you'd wear for a casual night out. For a career fair, dress professional, not business casual.

  • It's a bit short, especially if you're applying there you'll likely have to bend over to fill out the applications or other paperwork.

  • I'm starting my own business soon. I will not care what my employees dress just their skills and knowledge.

  • It's 2016, they're more loose with their dress codes. It's far from the 1950's. Plus they hire if you have the right skills not what you wear.

  • I don't think that's considered business casual. That seems more like a dress you'd wear when you're going out somewhere

  • Looks fine with me. They care more about your skills than what you wear

  • No, that is not suitable for business. Hem should be at or almost at your knee.

  • I hire Econ grads on occasion.

It's not quite professional enough. It would tell me you're not ready to be thrown into meetings with our clients yet. If your quant skills were solid we might still consider you.

Aim for -just- above the knee.

  • Business casual dresses/skirts should be knee length.

  • No that looks more like a party dress tbh. Wear either a midi-length pencil skirt or pants & a shirt tucked into them if you wanna appear professional.

  • Depends, some will not care and others do will care. I know my boss is not as strict unlike other people. So he would not care if I wear something like that to work.
