I'm in Australia so we don't tip
I don't tip any differently on dates than I do any other time - I'm not looking to impress my date with money or how I spend it. I've waited tables and done other service-related jobs, so I respect the system and the people who provide service for me.
Routine service gets 15%. Great service may get 20% or more. Lousy service may get 10% or less. Exceptionally good or exceptionally bad service also includes words with the manager - and YES I have praised the wait staff to the manager at least half a dozen times over the years.
In Brazil we don't tip. But normally the place you go charges 10% extra and this 10% is exactly the tip.
The same as if I'm alone or with friends. If the service is good I'll tip accordingly. If the service is bad, to non existent I'll tip accordingly.
I've been to places where the hostess sat me and took my order. The waitress brought me my food and drink, then disappeared. Couldn't even ask her for dessert or a refill. I flagged down another waitress to get my check. When I was up to pay the first waitress showed her face... she didn't get a tip for walking my food over to me lol
I tip what they deserve. sometimes that means they get nothing
Depends on the bill and quality of service. 15% usually, maybe 20
