Ie when you are reading a book, you forget everything around you and your thoughts are completely engaged in the book. I think it is called flow. I would just like a way of being able to do this with everything. Thoughts?

Personally that only happens to me when I'm reading or working on a painting. I can come to hours later with the sun up and birds chirping.
I have no idea how you could be like that all the time, but I don't think it would be good. It's basically the opposite of meditation or awareness practices. Generally they try to have you experence more of life by increasing your attention to the present moment. Just imagine how much of your life you would be missing1
