If I feel like I'm coming down with a cold, I take a zinc supplement such as Zicam or Cold Eeze and it usually shortens the duration of it.
If it's too late then I usually drink a lot of water or orange juice. I replace coffee with team with lemon and honey. Eating soups such as chicken noodle or hot and sour soup makes me feel a little better.
For medicine, I take Dayquil to curb the symptons and then take Nyquil at night to help me sleep.1
