Is it true that If someone needs to sneeze and you say "pineapple" to them they won't need to anymore or is it just a mind trick?

So, a friend of mine told me that a few months ago and I didn't believe it at first but whenever she told someone pineapple (including me) I'd stop having the urge to sneeze. It's confusing.

It's just a mind trick. There is nothing magical about the word pineapple. There is no biological reason that hearing a certain word prevents a sneeze. It's just a mind trick. I'm sure a psychologist might be able to explain it, but my guess is that it distracts you.

I usually knock them out before they sneeze because some of them sneeze so loud and so much saliva came out.
