So, a friend of mine told me that a few months ago and I didn't believe it at first but whenever she told someone pineapple (including me) I'd stop having the urge to sneeze. It's confusing.
Is it true that If someone needs to sneeze and you say "pineapple" to them they won't need to anymore or is it just a mind trick?

I usually knock them out before they sneeze because some of them sneeze so loud and so much saliva came out.0

Lmao probably cuz it distracts you1
It's just a mind trick. There is nothing magical about the word pineapple. There is no biological reason that hearing a certain word prevents a sneeze. It's just a mind trick. I'm sure a psychologist might be able to explain it, but my guess is that it distracts you.1
