What Is Your Most Treasured Memory?

One of my most treasured memories was of my brother and my now sister in law and their dog and myself when we all went to Chicago for the first time to visit my childhood friend and his partner who invited us over on a whim. It was just one of those most beautiful of days in life with nothing but blue skies above and birds chirping below. For breakfast we went out into their back garden where butterflies were floating around, and the air was fresh and crisp. My friend had made fresh scones and this insane breakfast spread. The puppy was chasing around rabbits in the yard, and we were having this fantastic conversation. I became fast friends with my friends partner and every moment of the trip was made wonderful because they were just amazing and giving hosts to all of us, including my brother's puppy. I just remember being extremely happy every moment of that trip and not wanting it to end. Thanks for making me think of it :)
my most treasured memories are of one of my greatest friends, we were close friends in high school, always had a thing for eachother but was with someone else. a year i later found him on facebook and started we started talking again. when he can home for a week leave we spent a wonderful 5 days together. last time i got to talk to him was on facebook, he told me he was going to call me in the next couple of days before they had leave to go out. he told me he loved and missed me. that week his base got ambushed and he was shot and killed.
the memories of him and the things I have from him will be my greatest treasured memories.
Well I treasure the moments near the beginning of the school year. I slowly fell in love with my crush, who was obsessed with me at the time. He always thought he was such an inconvience, and wanted to be with me so bad. One specific day, he really wanted to walk to Tim Horton's at lunch. I needed to get money from my backpack, and while I was about to take my bag off he said "oh I'll get that for you" and I don't know, the way he did it was so sweet and I couldn't stop blushing and it felt so intimate. The only other time I've felt that way is when I hugged him for the first time.
Well tonight he just asked what I'd do if he kissed me and he invited me to the movies with him... So I think I'm gonna have some more treasured memories soon xox
When I was 'happy'. I didn't know. "The knowledge brings the greatest pain" that is true.
I remember the times when I was a small child, dancing, singing, laughing and playing. Before I realised what my parents were screaming at each other, before I understood why, before I gor bullied and beaten, before I got pulled by my hair and insulted by my own drunk parents. Before... when i didn't sit on my bed in a foster house listening to Sia's Bird Set Free with my wrists cut open
are you okay
@Waffles731 not really but does it matter
yeah, it does
@Waffles731 why would it?

I'm sorry you have them
Thanks for mhg
I still hope you are okay.
I'm not doing too well either myself right now
my best friend died in a plane crash when i was in 5th grade. earlier that year i spent the night at his house on new years eve. his older brother helped turn their bedroom into a massive bed sheet and blanket fort. we sat in it playing games, eating junk food and watched movies til we passed out... and sadly 11 months later he was gone
a very treasured memory.
My most treasured memory is the day I got married.
The worst was the day my wife died.

My junior year of college, when I made great friends and fell in love. Picking my favorite memory in that year is tough but I think it would be the time I fell asleep in my guys bed with my face buried in the sweatshirt he wore that day and he didn't have the heart to wake me up and tell me to leave the bed
You're 19, how did you have your junior year of college already?
@ShayanMortazavi1998 I did my gen eds in high school through dual enrollment so I started college as a junior!
My parakeet. He lived with me and my parents for 6 years. Such great memories playing with him. Sitting on my shoulder. Singing. Rolling a small ball around so he would chase it. And more.
One day he got sick with something. And a few days later... he died right in front of my eyes 😓
I tend to "forget" many things but my favourite memory so far is going to Las Vegas when I was 16 and going to Mexico when I was 28. I was meditating on what it would be like to devote my life to helping others and watched an inspirational t. v. show that awarded real life heroes who did good deeds.
that made me tear up. I'm so sorry for your loss.
As for me, there is a dream I remember as clearly as when I had it even after 6 years.
Its something I think about it on occasion when I need a moment of peace.
What it is, well thats my personal secret,
When my boyfriend took me to his place in Cabo. He played golf most days and I sat by the pool but at night we had the most romantic dinners on the beach with our feet in the sand under the moonlight. So amazing
Walking my dog in my favorite park in the summer, listening to good music, playing with her in the grass and doing cartwheels barefoot, overall being with her in general (:
When my oldest daughter was born, I held her in my arms for the first time, and she was looking up at me. It just melted me.

When I was around 6 or 7 my dad took me to a daddy daughter dance, we both stayed on the wall while everybody else danced. We didn't want to go but my mom said we should have. Then we went out to eat.
Seems really shallow, but going to Disney 😂 Pretty much all of my family holidays
My grandfather raising his hand and touching me in the face.
He was dying of cancer.
I grabbed his hand and said that things would be alright.
When the boy I was crazy about told me he wanted to marry me. That didn't happen. I'm sorry about your loss

@ashley1996 Thank you... It's been tough to say the least. She had cancer for 8.5 years
Omg. That's horrible. I'm sure she's in a better place. I hate cancer. You're welcome.
