No, because most of them want to be there. As someone who does a lot of volunteer work, I feel that people misconstrue the plight of the homeless. For one, many of them are mentally ill, but even the ones who are not have a value system that's nothing like ours, yet people want to assume that they want the things we want. I would say that I've never met a homeless person who wants a job, a mortgage, a car, and a crazy girlfriend. I live in an area of the US that has very mild weather, but in the winter, it can get below 40 and when it does, the city rounds up the homeless and tries to direct them into shelters. Do you know what happens? They resist and make a fuss saying that the city is trying to make homelessness illegal!

Yes because life does terrible things to many people but I have much less patience for those who beg daily for money rather than beg for work.

I feel sorry for the ones who actually live on the street, the ones who have no one who helps them.
But I don't feel sorry for the ones who pretend they live on the street just to get money and deceive kind people.
