No response from a "Good morning beautiful" text. What should I think?

So this morning I sen this girl I like a text saying " Good morning beautiful. Hope you have a good day :)" text. Because everyone on here said that she would like it, so I did. Well it's been over 5 hrs and no response. I know that she was busy this morning with stuff but I know she's done with it now Because she told me when see had to do everything. What should I think? Should I just wait it out and see if she texts me back? And if not just text her tomorrow or the next day as if it never happened?

Why I don't reply to a text-

1. It makes me smile but I don't know what to say back

2. I did reply but it didn't sent and I don't realize it

3. I went to reply and got distracted so I forgot I didn't reply

4. I wasn't awake yet and I read it then forgot I got a text and don't reply

5. My phone is dead/I don't have it with me/it doesn't get signal

6. I'm busy

7. I'm with people (I hate texting when I'm with other people)

There are a hundred reasons why she didn't reply. A text is a text, she probably did love it and just didn't reply, that's the kind of text that doesn't need to have are reply. It made her happy and you'll see that next time you see her.

Pick your battles, this really isn't worth it, it's a complete waste of energy to get all in a tizzy and upset about this. If I were you I'd forget about it. She got it, it made her happy, does she really need to reply? The only purpose the reply would serve would be to give you gratification. Is it so much of a big deal that you're going to get upset about it?

She'll say thank you or tell you she loved it later. For now let it alone, you know she's busy so don't bother her with texts about if she got the first one. I text my boyfriend (sometimes with semi-important things) that he doesn't reply to for whatever reason and it's fine because sometimes people forget or whatever.

Give her time to text you back, you have a life, she has a life, don't wait around the phone, she'll get back to you eventually. When you know her day is over and she's relaxing at home THEN text her and ask if she liked her wake up text. But if she doesn't give the reply you hoped for or whatever then forget about it, you win some you lose some.

Wow thanks for the long and detailed answer. Yea I guess it really isn't worth it to think about it too much. I was just thinking it would be nice to get something back from her saying that I made her smile or whatever. I'm not really getting upset about it, I was just curious of she got it or not. But ya you bring up some good points. I haven't texted her at all since, so I'll just wait for her to text me back or just text her tomorrow or the next day.

Smacks of needy, if the first thing you do when you wake up is text her, never do that, now to repair damage, leave it about 2 days and text her in the evening, and try and soften her up to meet up with you sometime. Your better off seeing her in the flesh more often than texting her all the time. Limit how much you text her.

Yea I'm just gonna wait it out until she texts me or for a few days.

I haven't had a chance to see her because I'm home and she's down at school. But this weekend I'm gonna go down there for a few days and am gonna try and do something with her.

Right now just friends who are interested in each other. I've had a crush on her for a few months and like 3 weeks ago found out that she likes me too. I came home for a few weeks from college and she stayed down there. So we haven't gone on a date yet, but she said when I'm back she would be down to. So far we've only been texting back and forth.
