Guys who paint their nails?

I haven't cut my nails in a long time and they have gotten very long. I kinda like them. I actually got a few compliments (from girls). I feel like getting a manicure, or even a pedicure. I'm not so worried about that, I hear guys getting manicures is more accepted nowadays. But I also want them painted. I'm unsure if I should. I had a girl paint the nails of my right hand before. Most reactions were negative. Even my mom questioned my sexuality when I showed her. But I still want to do it again. I guess I like it.

I am curious to others opinions of guys painting their nails. Please share. Don't judge.

I actually know a family with 5 guys in it, one dad, 4 teenage boys ranging 16-20. All of them paint their toe nails, usually blue or green. I don't know why, I never ask. But they must like it or they wouldn't do it. The 2 younger ones asked me what I thought the guys at school might say to them about it. I was honest & told them. So, when they had P.E. they didn't wear it. After they were done with the class, they started it again. As far as I know, they are all heterosexual guys, in fact, I'm real sure they are. It's just something they like to do.

I guess I would say, don't grow them out too long, I've heard that can lead to some problems, too long or too short. But the rest is up to you. I've seen guys get pedis where I go, no polish though.

I have never been around a guy who has painted his nails except for black. I would not think anything weird of you. If you want to paint your nails go for it. But, a lot of people are going to say something about it even if it isn't their business and they are probably going to talk about you. As my mom says someone is always going to talk about you why waste your time thinking about it, they talked about you before you were born, when your alive and when you you die.You do what YOU want. :)

I think it would be fun. You'd just have explain it to people and approach it with a smile, and maybe a few laughs. Make it a positive experience. My grandmother's youngest brother paints his fingernails and toenails, he paints them all sorts of colors and calls them his "gumdrops". He's a fun guy. He's trying to start a trend, like guys piercing their ears, he wants guys to start painting their nails. I thought it was cool.

And that's pretty much how it is: a "fun" guy. Maybe people won't try to kill you for it, but basically don't expect people to view you as a sexually viable candidate for the rest of eternity.

I've painted my fingernails since I was in my early teens and my thirtieth birthday is next month (September). I do it because I choose to, I like it and it's my body. Everyone's opinion is their own opinion and I don't care what they say or think. To each their own. I do what pleases me every day and no one will ever change that. If painting your nails is what you like to do, then do it! If anyone judges you for it, ignore it, refrain from confrontation because it's not worth it. It just means they're misguided or like to boast their ignorance or have only ever seen girls with painted nails and don't comprehend why a guy would or something to the likes of those reasons. Again, if you like your nails painted then do it!

Of course, even if you wanted the 'more extreme' idea of being feminized (more than just nail polish), that doesn't alter your sexuality.

If you want to do it, do it. They're your nails, and if painting them will make you happy, go ahead. Will reactions from scoiety be positive? Maybe not, but it depends on the type of people you spend time with.

Hi. I have started to wear polish all the time now. Toes and Fingers. I don't care what others say. Life is to short to worry about others thoughts. Women are always pushing the fashion envelope, why can't a Man do the same thing? Getting a Mani and Pedi are Great. Do what you want to do in life. It is your life.

I dislike long nails on guys, and I dislike painted nails on guys as well. It's a HUGE turn off imo. Manicures are fine, but if you start painting them... prepare to get judged.

i think it OK for men to paint their nails because i have my nails painted every time i get a manicure.
