Why do I get attention from mostly black and Hispanic guys?

It seems like only the creepy and weird black and Hispanic guys approach me in class or anywhere.

I am an Asian female, of average height, average weight (5'6, 135 lbs) and no, I don't have any remarkable "assets".

I have a feeling that it might be because I am a minority, and therefore attract other minorities, or I am just unattractive to white guys.

Do white and Asian guys pursue a specific kind of girl? Do I have to lose more weight for them to approach me?

I don't want to sound racist, nor do I want to offend anybody, but it has been on my mind lately. I have never really had a boyfriend before, and I sorta want a boyfriend, but all I get are Hispanic and black guys approaching me or looking at me. my mother won't allow any interracial relationships, so I am doomed until a white guy or an Asian guy approaches me...

are any of you other girls in the same situation?

I have heard that supposedly black and Hispanic men are more "forward" and aggressive with women, but I don't believe in that reasoning, I think all men think the same way, and are afraid of the same things.

I've had a few white guys approach me before, but not many...is it because I am Asian and a minority?

When you say you get attention from black and Hispanic guys, do you mean: you can walk by a group of black and latinos and get them all checking you out and saying that you're a dime...or do you just get that lone overly aggressive weirdo horny black or Hispanic guy trying to get with you?

It is true black and Hispanic men are more forward with women than white and Asian guys are. Our dating culture is different. The thing about a lot of them, is they will holla at any girl they think is decent looking that they think they have a chance with. When you get used to it, you'll know that it doesn't really mean anything, cat calling is a part of passing the day by for them. I have no idea what white or Asian guys find attractive, but I'm telling you about black and Hispanic guys.

no, I don't get overtly checked out by Hispanics or black people...it's just that I guess I get more looks from them. from the guys that approached me in my class, one seemed to be a bit annoying, kind of weird, and the other seemed sane enough, but just ehhh...

No, they are definitely more forward. A lot of white guys seem to expect women to approach them or else a lot of time they won't talk to them. Black and Hispanic guys often will approach you before you even notice them.

It seems as if your Mother will allow only you to date white men because she holds them to a higher standard, and course dating your own will always be acceptable to her.

You seem to have no problem that your Mother is trying to place her decisions on you. It seems as if you agree with dating only your own, or white men (and remain a bit close minded).

You seem unattracted to black and Hispanic men, so I don't think mentioning your mother has to do with any of this (because it seems as if you agree with her).

I cannot tell you why you attract a certain type of male.

Just let the men that approach you know you aren't interested.

Just being friendly - he does a little small talk (and doesn't ask for your number).

Usually, when a guy is flirting he tries to intiate contact or seeing you again.

well he kinda made up a lame excuse to get my number...but he didn't outright say, "can I have you number"...

none of these guys "hit" on me...they made polite conversation then asked me for my number or said they needed it in case they missed something from class.

I've exchanged a lot of students number in college that I didn't have a thing for. They probably really want your number for those reasons, that or they are using that has a reason to get to know you better (like you said). If you don't want to look past the exterior, then simply let them know that you aren't interested.

Your mother should have nothing to do with who you like... I don't think it is about your mom not liking certain guys I think you don't like the guys

If a guy you are not interested in approaches you then tell them you are not interested

But don't be so closed minded to other races because white and Asian are slim picking.

there's this kid that really bothers me in one of my classes, he won't stop talking to me, I didn't really tell him outright to shut it, I don't want to seem rude, but I really don't like his company, I don't know how to get rid of him.

Okay not trying to be rude but do you see how stupid you sound. You will date a German or Australian guy, but you won't date a Brazilian or Samoan guy. What if you fell in love with a Spanish person that you thought was white because he was very light then you found out he was Spanish? If you are not interested in a person you need to tell them and be straight forward don't send mixed signals.

I live in a predominantly rich upperclass jewish community, but it seems like only the black and Hispanic guys seek me out. the white guys only look...maybe I am too "thick" for them?

No. It's just that guys now a day expect women to do the approaching or else they won't approach. (Especially white guys. And let's see how many downvotes I'mma get) Those approaching days women would get from men are practicly over. So next time you see an Asian or white guy you like, go approach him by saying hi or something, or else they won't.
