Honestly - sometimes things like this happen. Or maybe he just doesn't realize how much it effects you. He probably takes you and your relationship for granted in some ways - not necessarily in an 'i don't care about you, I can do whatever I want' kind of way - just that ... it's been like this so long he forgets to make the extra effort sometime.
If it's happened a fair few times I'd just let him know. Don't be accusatory, like I said, he probably don't realize he's hurting you. Just talk to him. Say you miss hanging out just the two of you and going out on dates like you used to. That you understand he can't be with you all the times, but would make a bit more of an effort to keep to dates when you make them; or let you know in advance if he can't make something so you can make new plans.
Well you're not a big deal to him and he clearly has no respect for your time if it's a habit of his.since you've already decided you'll stay, you should try to get him to act right. Shake things up.he feels like he has you and you aren't going anywhere, so make him re think that assumption.treat him the exact way he treats u. Make him jealous and make him realize he's not the only man you could be with.keep him on his toes because he's too comfortable right now.make him work to keep your interest.he knows he's been messing up but you've been too easy on him so why should he respect you? He gets to do what he want with little to no consequences.well that's got to change
