I showed my feelings too soon, is there any way back?

I met this girl and have been crazy about her for the past 6 months. I read her wrong and found out too late she's a flirty chick who gets attention from a lot of different guys and loves this attention. I already showed her how much I cared and that I really wanted to be with her and I think she figures that regardless of what happens I'll always be here. Is there any way back from this? Can I change the situation? Or should I just pack it up and move on?

I need to add that I'm sure that she has feelings for me. She has showed it to me many times. But she likes the flirting and attention so much she is worried being in a relationship will mean giving that up.

i think this happens a lot actually. you kind of have a couple options, and depending on the girl, they will both work or they both wont. you either ONE slow things down. don't always be so easily available to her. shell either want more or get it from some other guy. TWO continue doing what your doing and just HOPE she changes or just keep doing what your doing and she might just keep doing what she's doing, knowing that you will forever be there. THREE give her the ultimatum or just tell her what's going on. I think that's the best option, personally. I mean I would rather a guy tell me I was being a jerk and he was feeling used and I need to change or he's leaving over a guy just totally dropping me like nothing with no explanation. than there is FOUR just move on. continue being friends and flirting but don't get your hopes up, there are more people out there and you might just find better.

this probably was not too helpful but its sort of the reality of relationships. there is never a definate right or wrong answer, especially when pertaingin to actual people, people tend to be different no matter what the situation, no one ever gets teh same reaction from things.

If she doesn't want to give up attention of other guys for you, then I don't think it's worth it. I would suggest moving on.

Ok man, I was in virtually the EXACT situation recently. I liked this girl a lot, she even told me that she liked me and wanted to date me, but couldn't at the moment. I was there for her for emotional support and other (non-sexual) stuff. I figured we had some kind of connection, but unfortunately, she just liked to flirt and led me on because she liked the attention. She recently started dating someone else and said so very casually as it was no big deal to her.

My advice to you is to cut her out of your life. This type of woman will function as toxic and not allow you to move ahead. Also, if she likes the attention, do you really want to be with someone you cannot trust and someone that seeks validation from other men? It's your choice, but I genuinely believe you should not bother with her anymore.

There is. If you stop paying her the attention that you usually do, she's going to think "why isn't he looking at me anymore" and "why is he acting differently" etc. She'll notice that you're acting differently, and assume that something happened to make you feel differently about her. If she's a girl that likes attention like you say, I'm sure she'll be well aware of the changes in your behavior

Show less interest... and if she has feelings for you she'll want your attention back and you could even end up in opposite positions
