'Miss u"
"Miss you 2"
"Thinking of u"
Is shorthand texting less serious than them saying "I miss you" "thinking of you" and others?
What about you men who do this, what do you mean when you type it this way?
I do believe pple should say" I miss you" rather then just " miss u" I believe it does make all the difference in the world to say I when you tell people that you are missing them , loving them , need them. Etc.
I don't think its really a matter of serious as it is of texting typing preferences. If a person normally texts "you" instead of "u", then they'll say "I miss you" & vice versa.
I don't think either one plays a significant difference. All of them are only short of two letters, it really isn't that big of a deal
Literate people use "I miss you." and the rest are for the mentally challenged, invalid and the lazy.
I always chalked it up to either ignorance or age...or maybe even both.

... Someone is over thinking a text way too much lol.
Only difference I see is the grammar.
I really don't think guys write one with a significant point.
Cryptic stuff! lol...
U is just the easier/more casual way, I guess.
You > U
about 10 IQ points, I think.
Grammer ;)
