Why do guys bounce their legs when talking to a girl?

I've heard so many theories, but am not sure what to believe.

I was talking to a guy yesterday for a number of hours, we recently met, and we like each other, but are just getting to know one another.

For probably about 85% of the time that we were talking, he was continually bouncing his legs.

His legs were not bouncing while he was in conversations with others, or when he was not talking to anyone, in between conversations.

So guys; what causes you to sometimes bounce your legs while talking to a girl? Why do you do it?

It's probably partially nerves.

But also, is he a slender guy?

People who have a higher metabolism find they need to be constantly moving, so they fidget a lot when they're sitting still. I'm like that and I didn't even notice until someone pointed it out.

If I'm doing it, it doesn't necessarily mean that much...except I'm a bit energized and not deadly tired...and not so scared that I'm frozen like a mouse. In another words, it's more normal than unusual for me. But it could be amplified by nerves too.

Generally also, when you're talking to someone, you're more conscientious about maintaining composure in the upper-half of your body, so all the loose energy travels downward.

Thanks for your answer :). No he's not a slender guy, he used to be on the bigger size, however jas since lost weight, he's more a muscular build, slightly solid. So as you said, it must have been nerves

He was just nervous. You somehow intimidated him, or he's just plain inexperienced with girls and is always over thinking what to say to you.

He can't relax while talking to you..for better or worse!

It was probably just his nerves. If he likes you he won't want to screw anything up or say something dumb. When I'm nervous I tend to bounce my legs or fiddle with my earrings.
