Do you think my boyfriend is unmanly for wearing one of those protective cups things for baseball? He acts like he is all tough trying to show off but wearing one of those makes him look like a girl who can't take a hit. Were both high school seniors so he thinks he is the man because he is really good at baseball but since he has to wear a cup it makes me think he is a little bit of a baby

do other girls feel the same way about guys that wear cups?

Anyone who doesn't wear a cup and plays a sport like baseball or lacrosse or hockey where there's a good chance of taking a ball/puck to the nads is an idiot. Testicles are fragile, and it doesn't take much of a hit to not only cause excruciating pain, but to also make you sterile and cause testicle death.

While I get that young guys might feel self-conscious about wearing a cup, you really, really don't want to learn the hard way why they were invented in the first place.

Anyone who thinks it's unmanly to wear a cup while playing a sport is either a girl or has never taken one in the nuts. I have, and not only is in excruciatingly painful, it's quite dangerous when you're talking about something like a line drive to the gonads.

Guys have to wear cups in Karate, it's mandatory.
A lot of them don't during sparring especially of they're new at it.
Guys tell me they hate them because they pinch and restrict they're movement always needing adjustment.

After some of the groin strikes I've seen in Karate, if I was a guy I would wear one 24/7.

you are retarded. it's for protection. it f***ing hurts to get hit in the nuts with a baseball or ya know anything. thus why it's standerd equipment for the sport. the professionals use them

I don't know any guy that can take a baseball to the nads without crying like Nancy Kerrigan.  Protective gear isn't wimpy at all in sports.  Imagine what a 100mph hit to your boob would feel like...times about ten.

It's been said that getting hit in the nuts is like giving birth by 1000 so, I think he's just being smart about it. I don't really see how wearing a cup would make him seem less masculine though.
