What does it mean when you can't get your boyfriend to stop looking at other girls butts?

Question

So, I can't get my boyfriend to stop looking at other girls butts. I mean, I clearly see him doing it. But he continues to lie right to my face. We get into a huge fight about it then he's mad at me.

So a group of my friends just volunteered for the MS Walk. School friends, so it was me a few of my girl friends and even other guys and my boy friend. It was my idea so I wanted to take pictures and remember it. Where getting really close to graduation and I may never see some of them again, I wanted to remember it. But when I was taking one of the pictures it shows my boyfriend is clearly looking at the girls but in front of him.

The second time was when I was waiting for him outside of the school. He stayed and I stayed for rehearsal. The doors to our school are made of glass so you can see through them. I watched him look at this girls butt. She was standing there talking to our music teacher, and she even noticed that he did it. But he continued to get mad at me and say that he wasn't and I was being stupid and unreasonable.

are your parents happily married? or other couple that you know that has being together for YEARS, and that is clearly HAPPY? if there is one available, try remembering (or better yet, try watching them now) and see how the man reacts when a short skirt or a nice body walks by, really try to look for his eyes, I KNOW withouth the slightless doubt that my granparents (both pairs) LOVE each other, and have loved each other for more than 50 years (on my mother side almost 70), but still, and even though my mothers dad is avobe 90 years old, buth grandpas check up girls from time to time, although it is HARD to catch them, but they do.

I know I do, BUT, like my grandpas, I'm no longer a kid, and I sometimes work HARD to not disrespect my girl and actively avoid looking, some others (dare say MOST times) I don't ven need to try, I'm just not going to turn to watch just about any butt out ther, am I? but I know the younger version of me will stare at each and every @ss, sometimes too obviously, I guess I have matured. RARELY my girl catches me looking, because I truly don't do it a lot, and don't do it like a bull in heat, but I DO LOOK.

I truly think that every guy can work hard and find a way to not look that much, and be more respectful, but ALSO believe every healty boy LOOKS, yes gay boys will also check other butts than their couples, and I guess just as regularly as straight guys.

those who dont, I truly think either have low libido, or a hormone defiency, or are just asexual, chances are, a boy who does not lust after walking-by short skirts, will ALSO not lust after YOU, or not do it as intensly as you would like.

STILL, I may check girls up, but I am not one for disrespecting MY GIRL, if a cute, or a really cute girl walks by, I would look up to the sky :P if a SEXY girl walks by, I may look but don't dare look twice, if a girl is HOT and reallly a tease and a show up I will try to sneak a peek at her, then and only then is when my girl usually catches me, she would be "I know you are looking" and will be like "SORRY My Love", she will very likely smile, even if only for aknowledging my hard work on trying not to look, and I will apologize because even though it is OUR man nature, is disrespectfull to her, and I don't want to ever make my girl feel less than she is, which is AMAZING, that's what she is, and I work hard to never let her forget that.

A few things to think about here...

First off, its human nature to stare or want to glance at someone (or a part of someone) that is attractive. It happens on both sides of the gender coin. This is why places like strip clubs and movies such as Magic Mike exist.

Don't deny it. Over the course of your relationship, you are guilty of checking out other men here or there. You may not even know you're doing it, but there are times when you are. Seriously, you go to a public pool in the summer and see a shirtless dude with 6 pack abs, are you going to look? Yeah, you are...

On top of that aspect of human nature, biologically speaking, men are worse than women. Sub consciously, men think about sex every 7.3 seconds roughly. We guys are extremely sexual creatures, and its something we can't help because its how were programed to reproduce.

What we can help, however, is our self control. If a guy has self control, he can avoid stuff like this. Self control is what keeps us in check, and of course is what gives us the ability to be monogamous.

With all of that being the case, you can't expect your boyfriend to go through life looking at you and you alone, its impossible, even though its ideal. What you should expect of him, however, is his respect. It is extremely disrespectful of him, both to you and the other girls, to be caught staring in pictures, in public, etc. It makes you embarrassed and it makes other girls (most anyway) feel uncomfortable. That's what your fight should be about.

What you need to do is realize that this is something that we all do, and sometimes without even realizing it. That's very well possible why he's denying this.

What he needs to do is to stop making this behavior so obvious and so common, and especially in front of you and your friends. He should apologize for this and also he needs to reassure you that he is interested in you and you only...that when he looks at a group of women, you are his only choice, regardless of how attractive the others are. That's what needs to happen for the two of you to get past this situation.

What you need to do is acknowledge that this is something we all do.
