I should be a better girl! Lol :D
Girls! How often do you get pedicures and manicures?
I should be a better girl! Lol :D
Absolutely never, and I mean never. I have never had a manicure or a pedicure in my life.
Probably because while I work an office job, I'm a country girl meaning in my off hours I do thinks like haul home wood for heating, work in the garden, work with animals, clean out the shed etc., meaning my hands see a lot of the physical labour you mention. Like you, even if I paint my nails, they're ruined in about an hour because I work with my hands.
As for my feet- I'm a barefoot girl from May to October (depends on when winter decides to leave in spring and show up in fall lol). I don't mean I live in sandals, I mean unless I'm going to work or doing something that requires shoes I'm barefoot. This means I garden barefoot, I walk down my gravel driveway barefoot- I do everything I can in bare feet. This results in not so soft feet and chipped nails as often as not. Doesn't bug me at all, but I definitely have country girl feet lol.
I don't think this makes me less of a girl or less feminine, although I'm sure there are some people who would disagree. Who ever said you need manicures and pedicures to be a girl? Hope that makes you feel a little better anyway, if you've ever had a manicure or pedicure you've got me beat anyway!
I've never had a manicure, I've only had one pedicure and that was almost a year ago.
I also have a quite labour intensive job, no nail varnish, hairnets, you name it, so I completely get where your coming from! However, I would advise you think about more pedicures (I'm planning on doing the same) because last year I got to the point where because I stood on my feet for so long (we aren't allowed to sit down) my skin had hardened and it was actually painful! As soon as it was removed it was like walking on clouds.
Completely with you with the manicures... never had one done, no point having one done - I occasionally wear fake nails as a quick fix and that's fine by me :)
Rarely. I don't believe in paying someone €30/€40 for something I can do myself. Plus with my job a manicure wouldn't last a day and sad to say but since its really a male orientated profession turning up to work groomed and polished can result in women really not be taking seriously by clients
Hi Luv,
I think you are way too hard on yourself. Guys looks at several other things before manicures and pedicures! Since you are twenty-five to twenty-nine, I won't insult your intelligence!
First off, your fingernails. Just like I've been warned as a guy, keep them clean! So at work, wear gloves and given your job keep them short and natural. Then you are good to go!
Pedicure? Give yourself a treat once a month (like my ex-model girlfriend) and have them done. Boys love red; and wear a toe ring. You don't want to be all scratchy and gnarly in bed with calluses. Make your appointment every month so they get done. (According to ex-model, pedicures don't suck?)
Oh, so pedicures: once per month.
Manicures: Ex- model would get them every week or ten days depending on when she had a shoot.
Again, trimmed and clean...

Hi...thanks for the answer.But...this question isn't really THAT serious lol.I don't care that much really about me not getting them done often, but I would like to know how often everyone else does. Also,I can't always wear gloves at my job...so that's that.I've grown my nails so long before that they looked totally fake...but they would break as soon as I got to working. No offense, but I'm not the kind of girl who cares what nail colors "guys" supposedly LIKE.Nor am I the kind of girl who wears
Toe rings...not my kind of thing.I don't really see the relevance of mentioning your girlfriend was an exmodel...is that suppose to make me feel more inclined to spend money and get these things done? For me,I would rather purchase a pair of shoes or something especially if I know I could give myself a pedicures or whatever.Like I said,I'm just trying to see what others are up to.My question is not that big of a deal. But thanks for your answer.:)
I love ladies rocking the manis and pedis. I def look and notice! That sucks your job ruins them. Get pedis at least?

Rarely. I usually just do my own nails. My sister is a beauty therapist and I was her 'model' while she was in beauty school, so I vicariously learned how to do everything. I'm pretty anal about my nails, but I just don't care enough to go get them professionally done lol. I don't get pedis at all cos I hate people touching my feet.
I do at home manicures and pedicures. Manicure every two or three weeks. Pedicures much less often unless I anticipate wearing open-toe shoes for an event. Between the full manicures and pedicures I make sure to trim and buff my nails at least once a week.
I get a pedi once a month- makes me feel pampered and pretty!
I get a mani every two weeks, but I have fake nails. My nails make me look feminine, and guys comment on them.
I have to say that I think you were pretty mean to "Dan" - I think he was trying to tell you what models do, (and he said his "ex" girlfriend was a model) because it is their business to look good, and his perspective that he likes toe rings. Which, by the way, I do as well. So do what you choose, but I don't think it is proper to be nasty to those who try to help.

Thankyou for your response...but I wasn't being "nasty" to ANYONE.That's your personal opinion to think so.I have equal right to say,I don't like toe rings, and I don't care much about red nail polish.Nothing wrong with me saying that. And yes,I did want to know the relevance of saying his ex girlfriend was a model...nothing wrong with that either.Secondly,my question wasn't me being hard on myself, and the was the angle he was coming from with his response. As I said,my response was just a fun
question and that's it.I was blunt in my response to him,but nothing more.Furthermore...NO ONE has to answer unless they want to on this thread...including you.I suppose you will think that is rude to,although it is truthful. My question isn't anything to "help" me on.I'm not asking people to help schedule manis and pedis for me.I really don't have anything else to say on this subject but...get over being overly sensitive. Also,Dan is grown. If he has a problem with what's said,I'm sure HE knows
how to respond accordingly. But thanks for your response.Take care.
Wow! You seem awfully defensive!
Hahaha...
Are you STILL talking?Who are you again...exactly.Responding ions later.Step off.And mind your business.
I will "mind my own business" - and by the way the word is "eons" later. Not "ions" later.
You sound pretty silly when you try to insult a person, but the use the wrong word!
Hahahah...still who cares...
Get a life.
Move on.
This is getting pathetic.
You got read so deal it.
And yes,mind your business.
Lol
mani every 2-3 weeks. I have acrylic nails (but I don't keep them overly long and people say they don't look trashy) sometimes I can stretch it longer but by the 3 week mark the nails usually need to be done badly.
pedi, not often .during the fall and winter I don't really get them unless I am going somewhere special. During the summer, maybe every 3-4 weeks? Last summer I got a pedi twice and did my own the rest of the time.
I've never done it. I guess I'm not that much sophisticated. I just cut my nails really short then I apply nail polish.
Never ^^ I've never been to a salon, and I don't feel like going anyway.
I can take care of my own nails, it'd feel weird to pay someone to do it ^^
Sometimes I do my own nails, but I always get my feet done. The last time I got both was 2 weeks ago.
None because I don't like both
Once a year if you're lucky.
I have never gotten one.
once a week
once a month
Every week
