Moles [aka 'beauty' spots]- hot or not?

I got a few removed from my face, simply because they really affected my confidence. they werent that small either. its weird tho, some of my friends loved them! I didn't understand it, especially because of their size too. I personally think its one of the best things iv ever done for myself:)

i have other small ones but I don't mind them. its jus the bigger ones in general that pissed me off-.-

what do you think about moles in general? and if you do have moles, what do you think of urs?

They're a little bit weird because sometimes they are hot depending on the person or placement of them on their face or body and sometimes they're not and take away from someone's looks. Big ones usually always look bad though. I'm not too sure how to explain it beyond that. I wish I knew why and why we even get them!

And yeah, I don't understand why anyone WOULDNT like them, unless they were big and/or hairy. I'd actually like to see your face pre-removal. My money is on they weren't that bad at all...

Oh my face didn't look that bad. My hair always falls on my cheeks so they wouldn't show, but I just didn't feel comfortable putting my hair up or anythin..thas why I did it

It depends on the look of it at where it's locate:

+ Attractive moles aka beauty marks are attractive (small dots on your skin usually on the face)

- Ugly moles (hairy large anywhere)

Ex of cute moles: on the face on the side of the lip

Seeing as I have a small, pencil-mark sized one above my lip, I'm going to say yes. While they would be better off gone in most cases, they do make a unique attribute to the face, so long as they're not unbearable to look at.

I have one off to the lower left of my mouth. It's not too big or dark but I've always wanted it removed but my mom thinks it's cute that we have a mole in the same place so I'm basically stuck with it for life. :/

It's not big but it's not small either. It's kind of medium. I have a small one up next to my left eye and I really like that one. But the one by my mouth, not so much.

I have one where my ear connects with my cheek, and I don't like it. What kind of doctor removes them? What is the procedure like, and how much would it cost in the US. I assume these are not covered by insurance...

Ok a cosmetic surgeon can do it. Because mine wer flat, he had to do an incision. So I was put under local ( jus numbed the area so I was still awake) and he makes a hole and takes it out lol so I had stitches. BUT I don't know what type your mole is so you could have urs just sliced from the surface. I did get covered heapss by my insurer so its all good. Thanks for sharing:)

In Canada, some family doctors as well as dermatologists can remove them. I imagine it is the same or similar in the US. It's not covered by insurance because it's cosmetic (unless it's for medical reasons), so depending on the size and quantity, the price can vary between 50$ and 100$. You can either have it frozen and cut off or use a laser. This is what my doctor told me when I asked her, so that's all I know.

Depends on color, symmetry, size and whether they are flat or not. An ex girlfriend had quite a few over her body but they never bothered me, not even in the slightest.

If it's more like a freckle and it's in a good spot, then it's fine. If it's discolored and raised and gross looking you probably want to get it removed at one point in your life.

I have a couple ones with discolored hairs growing out of them lol. I'll probably get those removed at one point. I have plenty of moles but none are beauty marks :'(

thats ok=] if your not comfortable with them you can remove them. and in a funny way, moles seem to suit whoever theyr on, but it just becomes a self evaluation thing where we hate them and want to remove them. I personally feel so much better with them off=]

they freak me out and I get paranoid that they are contagious so I try to distance myself from people with prominent moles especially on their face
