I know girls are answering (thanks girls haha) but I just wanted to give a bit of advice. You can buy what the girls like, but you need to wear what makes you look good.
For example, I have some pretty big shoulders. If I wear polos, I look a bit odd since the 'flap park' of the polo always hits the back of my head.
T-Shirts accentuate my body perfectly. I'm a shorter guy so I wear t-shirts (usually something tighter or the next size up) to make me look taller and more noticeable. And since I'm shorter, if I ever get long-sleeve button downs, I make sure that if I buy striped shirts, they go vertically and not horizontally as again it makes you appear a bit taller (or make you height less noticeable and awkward).

None of them button all the way down and they usually only have 3 buttons but those usually look good for anyone.

I also like that look when a guy wears a long sleeve button down, but open with like a white tee-shirt underneath and (maybe) the sleeves of the button down rolled up just a bit.

I think the guy is dressed up a bit too much in that picture but you get what I mean with the whole unbuttoned shirt and tshirt underneath.

Although, a nice t-shirt can look good also.
The only one I'm not a fan of is the short sleeve button down. It reminds me of my grandpa LOL. I like A, B, C equally. Although t-shirts is for very casual.
Hmm this is hard...I like him in a thermal but his red long sleeve button down always made me a little feisty...I vote C
Polos are OK I guess but really common where I live so I think are part of a fashion fad.

T-shirts are fine, but I think long sleeve button downs are sexy :-) whatever he is comfortable in works for me.

They can all look good, but my fave is a long-sleeve button-down with the sleeves rolled up a bit
I like casual...T-shirt is a plus in my opinion.
