I know this is just a stereotype/generalization, but why do Caucasian men seem to don't like curvy/thick women?

Like I have a job where I am a event staff security guard for a lot of events. Concerts, Comedy shows, Exhibits, sports, you name it I do it. So I am around a lot of people. All I do is stand in one spot all day, so to help time pass by I just look at the crowd and observe the masses of people as they walk by. One thing I tend to notice is how couples between a Caucasian male and white female, the white female a lot of the time tends to be very petite. Kinda stick like but not that much.

Then I think back on the previous convos I had with some of my white friends, for example I liked this one girl at my college who was a volleyball player, she was very built, thick thighs, big but, slim waist the whole 9, I thought she was beautiful. But my 2 other Caucasian, pointed her out and said "she was too big, calves were too big, thighs were too big, kinda "fat" etc". The girl was probably a size 9 at the MOST, but just because she wasn't all petite and stuff like on victoria secret runways, I guess that doesn't fit their definition of "attractiveness"? I don't know I know this is a generalization, but I'm confident enough to say on average that Hispanic men/black men would find built women attractive more often than Caucasian men. I mean I know I do lol.

Does my observation/experience match yours? What do you think about this?

A Caucasian Male and a White Female? you aren't using them to mean the same thing? Are you talking about like, actual people from the Causcaus region? I have no idea about THOSE guys

Anyway yeah if you're talking about white men tho you're totally right. White beauty standards are different. Quite often you'll hear people talk about European Beauty Standards - as in, women from outside of Europe have to comply to European beauty standards, etc. & this is why petite, light-skinned women from far east Asia & places like East Africa are fetishised so much by white men.

European usually means White, or more specifically Western European White, in this context... so you should be getting my point... like, White people have White beauty standards. Which isn't even a very radical thing to say & seems self evident but yeah... So white people see petiteness as being part of their idea of Beauty & demand it of the people they'll be attracted to - mostly other white women, but if women of colour, like I say, petite & light-skinned ones...

This was not always the case though! You go back even as late as the 1950s you get advertisements telling skinny white women to put on weight to impress white men link link and if you go back a few centuries you get those paintings, you know the ones I mean link link - this was what was seen as beautiful. And even before that, light skin wasn't necessarily a beauty thing - it was only in the Later Medieval Era and in the Renaissance that you had Europeans drawn up as differently to Non-Europeans, in this case Sarceans - when Renaissance writers justifying the Crusades wanted to talk about Sarcean culture they had to do it by defining it as different from European culture - & that's where this difference of cultures & of peoples really became a thing. & light-skin became associated with Europe and blah blah...

Anyway yeah, changing ideas of beauty, etc. basically it's a White Culture thing.

Hmm...okay here's my observation. As a white women, I've noticed that white culture seems to be more into "cute-sexy" as opposed to "va-voom sexy". This translates to white guys often picking dainty women over built women, regardless how well shaped or how little body fat the built one carries. From that I've heard the argument that white people want their women to be children, but that's not it. A small/dainty build translates as more longevity and bigness/voluptousness is like an overripe fruit that starts to rot sooner. It's not that volume isn't appreciated at all. But there's just an overall sense that less is more. Or perhaps that something that is small has the potential to still bloom. I guess we're down to vector mathmatics...lol

And of course this is no hard and fast rule...But you asked a specific question about this phenomenon, so I'm giving a specific answer. These are the sentiments I know to be present in white culture, regardless of the individuals that say they're the exception.

because women carry fat differently in different parts of the world due to evolution; the way this fat is carried is beneficial for their way of life therefore signalling that a woman with the weight carried the correct way in that part of the world is healthiest and most desirable (good genes to pass on to offspring).

in hotter countries where there are more black people and less white people fat is carried around the hips, butt and chest to keep the extremities cool in the hot sun

in colder countries like Europe where there are more white people women tend to carry small amounts of fat all over to provide better insulation

You'll be surprised how much culture and media plays a role in that type of preference. I'm British Brazilian of Italian descent, in Brazil most girls were quite thick that I come across and guys regardless of race were usually more drawn to that, no difference even with the white guys. Social conditioning goes a long way in defining many people's preference.

It is a little different in places like the US though (the UK too but to a lesser degree) since generally speaking there is usually a split between white and black people, when the choice is there the preference is usually to associate with their own race whom also has created a separate culture within a culture on preferences. black guys are stigmatized as liking thicker women, white guys are stigmatized as liking thinner women, both tend to grow up knowing and living within that association that it is an accepted norm. It was different in brazil, I noticed that (where I was at least) it was the norm to see a mixed group of friends of people and they all tended to prefer the same which was usually thicker women.

I personally like thick thighs, butt etc

Truthfully,

I think white people generally look best thin. Extra kilos seem to be much flattering on non-whites in general. Women and men by the way.

Of course there are white people that look good with something extra, but I think they are a rarity. It is just the way the fat distributes on the body I think...

I am white and I like curvy/thick women. Although I am kind of a rarity. I remember in college dating a girl who was larger (not like obese or anything) but the other white guys would say things like oh that girl is disgusting, she looks fat. I also notice it seems more white guys would prefer dating a skinny Asian or Hispanic girl over a larger white girl. Just kind of how it is I guess.

The cultural standards of beauty are very different.

But there's also bias that goes into it. White men find Sofia Vergara, Kelly Brook and Kim K attractive. Yet Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Rihanna are "too thick"

That said, most white women in the US are fat so white men clearly don't end up with what they want.

white women rarely look good thick unless they are mixed with some other race. white white girls gain extra weight they tend to look sloppy and jiggly instead of toned and thick. most of them have ruler and apple shaped bodies instead of true pears and hourglasses like black women.

i think it's cultural.  black women/Latina women are usually thicker for some reason than cauc women and that's just a different standard of what they've grown up thinking is attractive.  I think TV and the internet have done a lot to spread it around somewhat but cultural things are very ingrained.

I always thought that it was the Asians who insisted on getting skinny girls. I know a lot of big white woman who are in relationships and some of them are married.

You said "tend to notice" . I've seen plenty of white guys  with overweight women  but for some reason people  still make it seem like they aren't any white guys who are chubby chasers   like they don't exist. Its really all about what people WANT to see.  Its just like how so many claim that   black guys who aren't rich or famous  only can get  fat and/or unattractive  white women .

Thin seems like the caucausion standard. It's all cultural differences.
