Buying New Moon
|
Alright, I have no idea what category this goes under, so its under "Other"...
So if you read my profile you know that I'm one of those guys who has read Twilight. A friend of mine actually gave me Twilight in late 2007 and I didn't read it till early 2008. After finishing the first book pretty quickly, I was obviously in need of the second book. One little problem though, it was spring break and I wouldn't see my friends for a week(and i really wanted to read that second book).
I cant drive yet, so i went with my mom to Borders to go get New Moon. Keep in mind, my mom has no idea what the books are about, nor why im acting so nervous entering the store. Of course, if you dont know me that well, seeing me carry Twilight or New Moon is pretty weird. So i go to the computer search thing (i wasnt sure if it was stranger to ask a guy or a girl for help looking for the book, i decided not to find out) and it says its in young adult. As im walking over there, i realize girls like books, and that they are everywhere in Borders, especially in Young Adult. I was trying to be as sneaky as i possibly could, like some sort of government agency grabbing a bad guy. Move in, find the book, grab it, sneak it to the register, pay and get out of there. Of course, things didnt work that way.
I couldnt find the book, and i guess i took too long because my mom came and told me i had to hurry up. I told her i couldnt find it, so she decided to help me (exactly what i didnt need). But wait, it gets worse, she sees Twilight and recognizes the cover and yells to me a few rows down "Isnt Twilight the book you were reading before?". Im obviously extremely embarrassed and i run to my mom and tell her that i found the book (i think i got lucky and no one heard her). I finally found the book and i decided to hand it to my mom and let her pay for it, while i picked up a very masculine looking book about Muhammad Ali.
That was my extreme adventure trying to buy New Moon, let me know if you liked it, it was definitely while happening.
