I have to get this off my chest and out there to the public just for the shear stupidity of it all. And you can tell me if this is common place or am I right in it all. I was chatting with a girl I met on an online dating site ironing out the details for our date the next day, when all was said and don't cause we were getting along so well she forgot to ask me my name. I tell her and her response was so asinine that I was in total shock for the next few hrs. This is what she said and I quote " I am sorry I can't date any one with that name cause my Ex had that one and it would be too weird" and before I was able to properly rebuttal she was off line. Well I am now sitting here two days later still scratching my head. Now I know it could have been as simple as she did not know how to tell me that she did not want to date me from the start and things got out of hand by the time we ironed every thing out but take this into consideration she was the one who chose the place and day I just picked the time. Now someone who is afraid of wanting to date someone would not choose a location or day.
So I would love to hear any comments any one has about this I am not asking for advice just want to know what others think and possible get a discussion this.

I actually have said this to a guy before....not online though, at a bar, and it was more like "awwwww no, your names_________, my ex's name was __________" and that;s somehow turned me off him, BUT, I wasn't that interested in the first place. - 9 months ago
