Near Midnight Thoughts

Lust decides which pursuit to follow at the given moment. Love gives us the pursuit that we will follow with the rest of our lives. How does one discern from this tantrum of crossed emotions? As it lies in my sight, Lust gives you the desires to seek, to follow with a hollow mind thinking, Oh that looks fun. However, in the case of Love, she leaves you with a longing desire, singular, just one. Not a fleeting glimpse of what could possibly happen. Not a false hope that strands you, lost. Love leaves one desire that becomes apart of you, not hollow, enriching you wholly and completely. Without proper initiative, Lust will pass. However Love, will endure. It will return, masked or unmasked, to fill that void that is left when it has to leave. Can Lust become Love? Lust typically becomes divorce, separation, restraining-orders; Lust becomes a severed tie that holds two together. Most all of us follow Lust blindly. Yet still manage to develop that eternal bond that love leaves in our hearts, minds, and souls. True a developed Love is a meaningful one, but a Love that starts whole is the most powerful force that exists.
